When private companies plan a demonstrative experiment, it can be very hard to coordinate the implementation of the experiment. For example, you may not know where to go for advice, you may have difficulty securing a location or obtaining permits and approvals, or you may want to publicize your project so that as many people as possible will come to it.
The FUKUOKA Smart EAST Promotion Consortium will continue to provide support to explore the feasibility of advanced technologies and business models through the "Smart East PoC Program 2023" this fiscal year.
We will support your efforts toward demonstrative experiments in Hakozaki, the town that will be the forerunner of "FUKUOKA Smart EAST".

Administrator Consultation and Explanation to Stakeholders
In order for demonstrative experiments to proceed smoothly, it is necessary not only to provide explanations to local residents, but also to hold smooth discussions with schools, park administrators, police, and other authorities to obtain permits and approvals. We will support you in the realization of the demonstrative experiment by attending the discussions with the relevant parties.
Setting up the demonstration field
We will support you in securing an appropriate location for your demonstrative experiment. In past demonstrative experiments, various locations in the city, such as parks, community centers, shopping streets, and public roads, have been used as demonstration fields.
Recruitment of general monitors
We support coordination with local community councils, schools, etc. to ensure that residents and other interested parties can experience your cutting-edge technology and services in the most appropriate form.
Publicity to the mass media
To raise awareness of the demonstrative experiment, the Office will issue a press release. We have a great track record of being featured in numerous newspapers, TV news, web media, etc.

<Demonstrative experiment of one-person autonomous mobility vehicle>
In cooperation with ZMP Inc., a demonstrative experiment was conducted using "RakuRo®," a one-person automated mobility vehicle that travels automatically to its destination. This demonstrative experiment was held at Kaizuka Park (Higashi Ward, Fukuoka City) and was a great success, with many more people experiencing the vehicle than expected.
The demonstrative experiment was covered by TV and newspapers.
＜Demonstrative experiment of "Subtitle Transparent Display" and "Smart Glasses”>
In cooperation with Pixie Dust Technologies Inc., we conducted a demonstrative experiment of "Subtitle Transparent Display" and "Smart Glasses," a tool to support communication for people with hearing difficulties and foreigners. The demonstrative experiment was conducted at the Matsushima Community Center (Higashi Ward, Fukuoka City) and on the first floor of Fukuoka City Hall, with local residents, people with hearing difficulties, and people with hearing disabilities participating as monitors.
The demonstrative experiment was covered by newspapers and online news, and featured on terrestrial television.
